When smelling, I noticed a gas profile that turns to a menthol tingle in the nose with a deep inhale, which I really enjoy, and expected would translate when smoked. The terps were complex with this one. I picked up on a sweet, creamy gas and a slightly minty gas, that combine for an almost spiced gum drop smell. That happens to be one of my favorite candies, so I really enjoyed smelling this. When smoking, you taste more of the herbal component of the aroma and not much of the candy. There was a little bit of black licorice, and a little eucalyptus, with earthy/musty mint notes. Possibly a bit of a sweet finish, but slight and inconsistent. It’s still very enjoyable and burns super clean. Also, this has that nice lung expanding feeling I typically associate with a strong gas-profiled strain. The high was surprisingly strong, something I don’t typically associate with Runtz, so guessing that’s the Menthol influence (but not familiar with that strain so it’s just a guess). I felt it come on heavy behind my eyes, and a nice whole-body feeling of relaxation. I found it was fairly effective at easing pain and relaxing my stress. Soon I found myself just stuck going down rabbit holes on my phone, and a hour had quickly gone by. There aren’t a whole lot of cannabis strains that make me lose track of time and myself that way, and it’s such an enjoyable relaxing time (as long as it’s planned for, haha). So initially I was disappointed with this one, because with the crosses I was expecting a different flavor profile and it took me a little bit to get over that bias. But being past that, I can say this overall is a very flavorful, clean-smoking strain, that is highly effective at medicating me. I kept going back to stick my face in the jar and revisit the smell because I enjoyed it so much. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what flavors pop next from Pure and Proper, and I will be watching and waiting to scoop some.

Runtz x Menthol Pure and Proper is one of the craft cannabis brands that I automatically link to quality and potency when ever I hear it mentioned. So naturally as I’ve seen Runthol around on my Ig stories, my interest was peaked. With that being said, I really appreciate @b_easy and @gulfcoast for helping make this review happen. The flower really looks on-point, with a nice combination of olive green and purples so dark some almost look black, for a nice eye-catching contrast. There is a nice coating of trichomes that look so heavy that it has a nice silver shimmer. The trim job was pretty much perfect, and it had a really nice cure and structure that was easy to work with.
